Women’s Refuge National Home Safety Service
Whānau Protect is a six month service provided nationally by Women’s Refuge. It is available to victims who are at high risk of serious injury and are not living with the person who is hurting them.
Whānau Protect provides a safety option for clients who do not want to, or cannot, leave their homes.
Clients are supported with a home safety improvement assessment. They are provided with a monitored safety alarm and necessary safety upgrades to their home.
SHE does not accept external referrals for Whanau Protect, instead referrals can be made by professionals to Women’s Refuge National Office via their webpage at this link.
